Not to be confused with the Classic Campaign maps or the Campaign missions tab.

Campaign is the default, standard and foundational game mode of Dungeon Defenders.

Gameplay Structure[]

The player(s) must defend one or more Eternia Crystals against a set number of waves. If the enemy destroys a crystal, it is game over.

Build Phase[]

Combat Phase[]

...

Boss Fight[]

Some maps (ex: Alchemical Laboratory, The Throne Room and The Summit) end with a boss fight.

...

Rewards[]

With the exception of the few challenges under "The Lost Quests," completing the Campaign mission of any map outside the "Challenges" tab will unlock Survival Mode and Pure Strategy for that map, up to the highest difficulty cleared.

If a boss was defeated to conclude the mission, each player will usually receive a map-exclusive weapon their active hero can use. If they are a Summoner or Jester, the weapon reward is chosen at random. These weapons never have their item quality tier in the name which distinguishes them from common weapon drops.
