The Crystalline Ninja is a secret costume for the Monk. It turns the Monk into a speedy glass cannon, boosting his damage by 15% and movement speed by 10%, at the cost of 25% health.
Criteria to Unlock[]
The host has to clear both the original Crystalline Dimension mission on Ascension, as well as the five-part Returnia series on Ascension with either Hardcore or Ruthless Mode enabled. The former challenge and Parts 1-4 of Returnia must be completed before Part 5 (Return to Crystalline Dimension).
With the above prerequisites met, the secret can be unlocked on Part 5. The first three out of four fields/planes in this Lost Quest challenge each have an interactable floating monolith; they must be activated in sequential order (since players cannot backtrack to previous fields). When activated, a message in light blue text will appear on-screen. Then, after defeating the chosen evil hero on the boss gauntlet arena, the player(s) battle Mischief from the Temple of Polybius. Defeating him completes the mission and unlocks the Crystalline Ninja for everyone in the lobby.
Notes/Tips[]
- The Crystalline Ninja Monk supports an elevated high-risk, high-reward playstyle. His agility allows him to clear most missions faster than Super Legendary Monks, despite having a smaller damage boost (+15% vs. SL's 20%).
- Though relatively frail, this skin is excellent for True Boss Rush, especially when combined with speed-boosting equipment, like the Genie's Scimitar and Final Stache. The faster your hero moves, the easier it is to dodge enemy attacks.
