Downloadable Content (DLC) is how Trendy Entertainment will expand the world of Dungeon Defenders.
- Future DLC can be free.
- Expansions such as Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave may have a cost associated with it.
In tweets, Trendy Entertainment has said that it is possible that they will release Dungeon Defenders: Arena, the Player vs. Player (PvP) expansion to Dungeon Defenders: First Wave as downloadable content, though whether it will be free or paid has not been determined. DD:Arena might be a stand-alone app also.
Going through the files of Dungeon Defenders on the PC version one can find a DLC folder. In this folder there are two folders with configuration files. One is called Advanced Tech DLC and the other is Elite Gear DLC.
