The Fireball Tower or Flameburst Tower is the second offensive tower the Apprentice and Adept gains access to. It shoots explosive fireballs that deal moderate splash damage over their area of impact. This explosion has a fixed radius of 4.3. Enemies further out from the center point of impact take less damage.
Because the Fireball Tower is fire-based, it should be complemented with defenses that inflict a different damage type, or remove/negate the elemental affinity of monsters.
In Redux, the fireballs travel faster.

Notes[]
- If enabled, the screen will shake if a fireball lands near the player.
In Other DD Games[]
The Fireball Tower was renamed to "Flameburst Tower" in Dungeon Defenders II, and this carries over to Awakened. The tower also appears in Terraria as a sentry the player can summon, using one of three weapons sold by the Tavernkeep. If the player wears the Apprentice or Dark Artist armor set, their Flamebursts will have significantly more range and projectile speed.
