Orcs are the basic tanks of Dungeon Defenders. Although they are slow, they have both a substantial amount of health as well as strong attacks. These creatures should be approached with caution by low level players, and towers will be most likely required to defeat these.
Attributes
Like most other monsters within the game, Orcs may possess attributes. These attributes contribute to both their offensive and defensive abilities of the respective element. An Orc with fire resistance is depicted on the left.
Strategy
After some persistence, players are able to tackle the oncoming Orcs; however, it is a much easier task to allow towers to dispose of them. The attack rates of Orcs are fairly slow, but they are also quite damaging. If a fight occurs with an Orc, Squires and Monks should strike and back away while Huntresses and Apprentices should attack out of range from return fire. Take into account Orcs use melee attacks only; thus proving to be quite weak towards certain classes.
