Treasure Hunt is a challenge that takes place on The Summit.

The goal of the challenge is to collect a fixed number of "Golden Mana Tokens" each wave, whilst constantly defending the crystals .

  • Tokens are dropped by golden enemies, and only one golden enemy can exist at a given time.
  • Once a token is dropped, a player must pick it up within five seconds, or it will disappear.
  • Golden mana tokens look like this: Goldenmanatoken
  • The golden enemy can be any ground enemy type with shimmering and golden skin, and increased health and strength (similar to an enemy Djinn buff).
  • Like most challenges which spawn endless waves of enemies, no enemies will drop items when killed.

The party should attempt to minimize the amount of maintenance required for the defenses in order to maximize the amount of time they can spend on searching for golden enemies. Each enemy spawn point should be watched by a different party member. Occasionally, a golden Ogre spawns, and it may require the entire team's effort, or a damage-dealing focused player such as a Barbarian to defeat because of its increased health and strength. Golden Ogres drop 2 tokens. Unlike the original map, Wyverns and the Ancient Dragon do not appear.

A well-equipped Huntress is particularly useful for collecting tokens because of her Invisibility ability and her adeptness at eliminating single targets. Provided that there are no Dark Elf Warriors nearby, an invisible Huntress can jump into a dense group containing a single golden enemy, pick it off, and collect the token without incurring damage. Similarly, a high-damage dealing Barbarian should be able to cut through a large group of enemies with ease.

The party may wish to have one competent player, preferably an Apprentice for his Overcharge ability, maintain the towers on the central platform while the others search for golden tokens.

Placing Defenses on top of the bottom set of stairs allows your hero to observe two enemy lanes, making it easier to identify golden enemies.
