Upon killing hostile Djinn, they leave a small trail as they're sucked into one of the many lamps around the map. If that's not enough, you can find an occupied lamp by the noise it makes. The bonging sound gets stronger as you get closer, just like a game of hot & cold. Occupied lamps also jump up and down and emit pinkish (purple?) smoke. A friendly Djinn will spawn when the lamp is rubbed, upgrading your defenses and attacking enemies. Each wave is completed by spawning the required number of friendly Djinn.

Wardjinncard

The War of the Djinn challenge is part of the Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards - Part 2: Moraggo Desert Town DLC.

The goal of the challenge is to kill the Djinns, and rub their lamp to convert them to your side.
